Best Spa Resorts

My favorite (and many of my clients) Spa Hotel is the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma, California as well as another that is just a little over an hour away.

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa

This fantastic property is right in the heart of California’s wine country and is a AAA Four-Diamond resort that features geothermal mineral pools, as well as Spa Suites with Jacuzzi’s and wood burning fireplaces. If you are interested in golfing then staying at this property will also give you access to the members only Sonoma Golf Club which is right next door. Their spa has five geothermal pools with 27 different minerals naturally dissolved in the water that the local Native American’s used to praise for their healing properties. As well as the pools there are also 28 treatment rooms with a variety of experiences, a Halotherapy Sauna, Aromatherapy Steam Room, and Roman soaking tub in their Roman style bathhouse.

Fairmont Claremont Club & Spa

If you want to make your stay in California longer, then an hour away is the Fairmont Claremont Club & Spa which is one of the newer Fairmont properties but it was originally built in 1915. Most of the rooms have some form of San Francisco Bay view and the Tower Suite is especially unusual as it is in the Claremont’s iconic Tower with amazing views. In 2021, this property received a 4-Star award from Forbes for their spa. In the spa you can find some very Californian treatments like massages and facials with CBD oils and a large wellness center with yoga, tennis, swimming, and more.
